Hebridean Surf Holidays
If you are a surfer and want help planning a pilgrimage to the surfing nirvana that is the Hebrides, then Hebridean Surf Holidays are definitely the guys to contact. Based on Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, from running the local surf shop, these guys have worked hard to share the well-kept secret of Europe’s most consistent surf destination with the rest of the world. Having attracted the likes of Hans Hagen and Tom Curren to the islands for the first IS Hebridean International Surf Festival in 2001, they deserve a special mention for putting the Hebrides on the map as the surfer’s nirvana.
Hebridean Surf Holidays offers absolutely everything you need to surf in the islands: accommodation, meals, transport to the waves, tuition, advice on swells/waves of the day, board and wet suit hire, barbeques on the beach and you can stock up in the surf shop on board wax or splurge on a new wetsuit.
Their restaurant ‘Sunsets’ is a fantastic place to relax after a day’s surfing with friends, the speciality is fresh local foods: seafood, croft-grown vegetables and meats.
